Meet the Community Planning Coordinator!

Please join us in welcoming the new Community Planning Coordinator, Chantal Pronteau!

Yiyau ahqvm agva, hello everyone!

I have a mixed heritage of coast ts'msyen from my father, Rodney Robinson, and Métis

from my mother, Sandra Pronteau. My fraternal grandparents were Emily Robinson,

from Klemtu, BC, and Medrick Robinson Sr, from Klemtu, BC. My maternal grandparents

were Delilah Tobacco, from The Pas MB, and Charles Parenteau from Camperville, MB.

My most relatable community support accomplishments were my role(s) with the

Nation’s Stewardship languages revival project as the project’s coordinator in 2018-

2019, as well working with Health as the Community Health Representative this past

year. I carry a wide range of interests such as personal health, fitness, and a growing

passion for wellness and spiritual practices while interacting with the land, medicine,

animals, birds, and with each other.

I am eager to work alongside the Nation’s planning team and apply my skills in

supporting the implementation of community voice, both in Klemtu, and with our urban

members. I look forward to engaging with each of you and ensuring your voice

advocated for the betterment of our future as Kitasoo Xai’xais People.
